DESCRIPTION

Doñana is considered Europe’s biggest nature reserve and it was also declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. To see the greatest diversity of birds and habitats that Doñana offers, this route is the best for you.

This area is typified by marshlands, Umbrella Pine forest, rice paddies and other crops.

Ornithological interest

The most interesting species of this zone are birds as threatened as the Red-knobbed CootMarbled Duckand Spanish Imperial Eagle. If we are lucky we can also observe Ferruginous DuckWhite-headed Duck and the Great Bittern.

Important concentrations of waterfowl exist in Doñana throughout the year. One very special feature are the flocks of Greylag Geese and Common Crane in winter time. Greater Flamingo can be find all year round.

Route

Along this route we will visit the North of Doñana National Park, very close to Seville. We will drive along minor tracks looking for the most interesting birding points.

Some of the hotspots to visit are: Dehesa de AbajoEntremurosCaño del Guadiamar and the Visitors Center José A. Valverde.

    Moderate Full refund if canceled 30 days or more prior to the day of the tour. 50% refund if canceled between 14 and 29 days prior to the day of the tour. 25% refund if canceled between 4 and 13 days prior to the day of the tour. Non-refundable if canceled less than 4 days prior to the day of the tour. A cancellation fee of 3% of the total tour cost is deducted from the refund upon cancellation.
